Hey everyone, welcome to I’m No Expert – my place.

I’m Wayne Battershell, a UK based data and analytics professional with over 30 years of experience in various industry sectors including Oil & Gas, Utilities and Telecoms. I’ve got a track record in the shaping of global data and analytics strategy, process simplification and the delivery of customer driven data analytics and insights, resulting in tangible performance improvements.

I’m passionate about leading, developing and learning with high performance teams. Always respectful of the needs of others, pragmatic and systematic in the successful delivery of high value, quality solutions.

More importantly I’m a Dad, a Husband, a Son and a mate to a few very good folks – all of whom I don’t deserve.

What I’m also very good at, is self-deprecation. I have no issue with what I don’t know and I’m quite happy to say that. Which is perhaps where the idea for I’m No Expert came from. throughout my career I’ve been fortunate to learn from some very intelligent and skilled folks from all walks of life and my view is I’ll never stop learning…..and I never want to.

So how does that get me and you to here? Well, look through any social media solution, actually you don’t even need to go online, go sit in a busy bar and listen to folks talk – there are so many experts out there: experts in AI, experts in politics, experts in cars – you get the message. Well there are also so many people out there who are not experts, but want to learn more. So that’s what I’m No Expert is here for – to help people learn and grow (me included) by instigating conversations – no courses, no certificates – just soaking up what other people have to say and making your own decision as to whether that’s good for you…or not.

Important thing to remember is I don’t believe that there are any limits to what those conversations are that I intend to instigate. Enjoy and hopefully benefit – cheers!
